Niels is president of MetaManagement Group, a "one-man multinational" management consulting firm serving clients in Europe, South America and elsewhere. With MetaManagement, he provides advisory services and transformational change consulting aimed at dramatically improving the client organization's condition. Since 2006, Niels has been the world´s most successful beyond budgeting transformation consultant, working with clients on two continents.

Between 2002 and 2008, Niels represented the prestigious Beyond Budgeting Round Table (BBRT). For five years, between 2003 and 2008, he has served as BBRT Director, which incuded contributing to Beyond Budgeting research and marketing the Beyond Budgeting model, internationally. In 2008, Niels became director of the "Beyond Budgeting Transformation Network", BBTN, of which he also is a co-founder, together with Gebhard Borck. The BBTN is dedicated to transformational leadership model change.

Niels holds a Master of Economics and Business Administration with specializations in Management, Marketing and Organization/Controlling.
Previous stations of his career include Boehringer Ingelheim do Brasil S.A./São Paulo, and ThyssenKrupp Automotive Systems do Brasil in São Paulo.

Niels has written many articles for specialized media and speaks frequently on seminars and congresses. His bestselling first book "Beyond Budgeting, Better Budgeting" was published in 2003 and won critical acclaim. His second book, entitled "Leading with Flexible Targets. Beyond Budgeting in Practice", was published by Campus Verlag, Frankfurt/New York, in 2006. It was awarded with the Financial Times Germany "Best Business Book Award 2006" in the Leadership category, and lauded as one of the best business books of the year by web magazine changeX.

Niels Pflaeging is a prolific public speaker. He delivers keynotes and serves as chairman at international conferences, congresses, seminars, presentations, and corporate events. He is fluent in four languages - English, German, Portuguese, and Spanish - which enables him to help you solve business problems and mediate discussions in many countries and cultures.
